BMW X7 xDrive 40D Brooklyn Gray

The BMW X7 is the equivalent of the BMW 7 Series in the SUV world. This is evidenced not only by the size of the car, but also by the way it is finished, the quality of the materials used in the interior or the rich basic equipment. The car with its dimensions is primarily aimed at customers from the US or China, but it also finds its audience in Europe. It is undisputedly one of the most comfortable and prestigious SUVs available on the market capable of transporting up to 7 people. Competing with the BMW X7 is the Mercedes GLS and Audi Q7.

In April 2022, the car underwent a facelift, in which the German manufacturer, decided to primarily extensively modify the front of the vehicle. The lights are now arranged in two rows, the appearance of the front bumper has changed, and BMW’s ” Iconic Glow ” illuminated “kidneys” have appeared (this is the option our unit is equipped with). In the interior, the biggest change is the appearance of a display integrating two screens, also known from other models of the brand such as the BMW M3 Competition. With the facelift, in line with current automotive trends, every version of the BMW X7 “became” a soft hybrid with 48-volt technology to gain an additional 12 hp and 200 Nm if needed. Safety on any surface is guaranteed by the xDrive drive system with active torque distribution between the axles and between the wheels of the rear axle. Safety is also improved by LED matrix headlights, which provide excellent visibility at night.

As standard, you get air suspension, which provides excellent ride comfort and can also make loading luggage easier by lowering the rear of the vehicle. Our copy is retrofitted with the M Sport Package, which includes quite a few extras that give the car a sportier feel (but also ones that improve the ride, including: a sport brake system). The black M Shadowline accents, on the other hand, go well with the optional Grey Brooklyn M paint. Inside, in addition to the extensive equipment you get as standard (including: panoramic glass roof, electrically operated seats with memory settings, heated seats, ambiente backlighting, soft-close door system, comfort access, gesture control) there is a great-sounding Harman Kardon Surround Sound HiFi sound system.

Often the third row of seats in 7-passenger cars (especially SUVs) is treated with a certain “wink”. It is intended as an emergency or exclusively for transporting children. Getting into it is also usually difficult and unpleasant. Such a situation does not exist in the X7. With fully “automated” and electrically sliding seats, getting to the third row of seats is extremely easy. Most importantly, an adult is able to sit on each seat without any problems! Even with the assumption that a taller person will also sit in front of him, this will not be a problem.

The trunk, with all 7 seats folded down, is also reasonably sized. The BMW X7 perfectly combines the qualities of a premium SUV and family practicality. The level of luxury in the cabin is certainly higher than in other models from the “X” palette (its competitor in this area is only the BMW XM), and it is closest to the classic BMW 7 Series. Despite its sizable size and considerable empty weight, it drives extremely pleasantly and “lightly.” It’s the perfect car for longer trips or outings in complete comfort and luxury – even with 7 people on board!
