Porsche 911 Carrera Cabrio Rental – Driving with the Top Down
The latest-generation 911 retains the model’s distinctive lines, but the Carrera Cabriolet version lets you enjoy the boxy sound “in the open sky.” The electrically folding soft top disappears in 12 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h, and an additional wind baffle takes care of conversational comfort when driving with the roof down.
At the heart of the car is a 3-liter twin-turbocharged boxer with 394 hp and 450 Nm of torque (Type 9A2). Combined with an 8-speed PDK transmission, it catapults the convertible to 100 km/h in4.3 seconds (4.1 seconds with the Sport Chrono package) and allows it to reach 291 km/h cruising speed – values closer to a coupé than to a classic convertible.
The Carrera Cabriolet benefits from PASM adaptive suspension and a two-level rear spoiler, providing confident handling even on wet asphalt, safety first. The interior remains quintessentially 911 – a low position behind the wheel, Plus sport seats and a multifunction GT steering wheel transport the driver straight into the world of Porsche. Daily travel is aided by a suite of driving assists, a rearview camera and adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, well worth a look. A compact trunk in front and an extra shelf behind the seats make the car suitable for more than just weekend trips.
The Porsche 911 Carrera Cabrio is available for short- and long-term rental at Cylindersi.
