Porsche proved as early as 2002 that an SUV can bear the Stuttgart emblem and still deliver a purely sporty driving experience. Today—in a refreshed, coupé—with its sleek silhouette—the Cayenne with the emblem GTS It returns to the model’s roots: the pure V8 sound, while retaining the everyday practicality of an SUV. As part of a recent facelift, it features a redesigned front fascia, a new three-dimensional light bar at the rear, and a completely redesigned cockpit with a 12.6-inch curved screen.
Under the hood is a 4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 500 hp and 660 Nm, which further enhances its sporty performance with the Sport Chrono package and accelerates the Coupé to 100 km/h in4.4 seconds. Top speed is 275 km/h – figures closer to a thoroughbred GT than a family SUV.
The GTS Sport package adds a carbon-fiber roof, a SportDesign styling package in High-Gloss Black, and a sport exhaust system with center tips in Dark Bronze to make the Cayenne sound as good as it looks.
Responsible for handling is the 10mm lowered PASM adaptive air suspension and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC) with optional torsion rear axle – a duo that makes the nearly 2.3-ton car move with the agility of a sports sedan.
The interior combines Race-Tex and leather with carbon fiber accents. The GTS sport seats (18-way adjustable) provide secure support in corners, while the Burmester® 3D High-End Surround sound system delivers an acoustic feast. Passengers will enjoy the four-zone climate control, while the driver is supported by systems such as 360° cameras, a parking assistant, adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, and Night Vision.
