Competitors to the “5 Series” include, among others, the Mercedes E-Class and the Lexus ES.

Our copy is a polifting version with xDrive. The facelift of the latest 5 Series has been exceptionally successful. The exterior has not undergone a revolution, but a very successful evolution. The front belt has been refreshed, with widened grill kidneys and slimmer, active headlights with Full-Led technology. The rear bumper has also changed. A very interesting effect is the use of 3D led lights at the rear of the vehicle.

The facelift introduced the BMW Live Cockpit Professional option, which our test vehicle is equipped with. This gives us two 12’3-inch screens—one displaying virtual gauges, the other a touchscreen for multimedia control. We also get access to, among other things, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, as well as gesture control. The vehicle is also equipped with a rearview camera and heated sport front seats. Automatic high beams, in turn, make night driving easier.
