Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid

When creating the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, Porsche sought to reconcile the benefits of hybrid propulsion along with driving pleasure and sportiness. Has the Stuttgart-based manufacturer succeeded? Definitely yes!

What creates such a successful mix combining the worlds of luxury, sport and ecology at the same time? First of all, the powertrain – the “heart” of the Panamera is a 2.9-liter V6 engine with 330 horsepower, along with a 136-horsepower electric motor (which “gives” as much as 400 Nm from itself). Total system output is 462 hp and 700 Nm – combined with an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and 4×4 drivetrain, the hybrid Porsche accelerates to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of as much as 278 km/h. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is a plug-in hybrid whose batteries can be recharged from the grid. This allows you to drive several tens of kilometers on electric drive alone. Completely achievable with normal driving in mixed mode is a combustion of 7-8 liters, which for a 5-meter-plus limousine and a power output of almost 500 horsepower is an excellent result.

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid is distinguished from other versions by green accents such as brake calipers and emblems. Our copy in a sporty-elegant configuration (a combination of Jet Black Metallic paint along with a light Luxor Beige interior) was equipped with the most important extras. Adequate travel luxury will be provided by, among other things, comfort seats with 14-way electric adjustment, memory package and ventilation. Longer routes will be facilitated by adaptive cruise control, and a rearview camera with a 360-degree view of the surroundings will help when maneuvering in the city. Ambient lighting and the BOSE Surround Sound System with 14 speakers will take care of the mood. The heated steering wheel, in turn, will make the car more pleasant to use in winter.

The hybrid version is, of course, made to the same, very high, level as the other Panamera variants. It also provides ample space for rear-seat passengers. The hybrid drivetrain has made the car faster, more economical and even more efficient when overtaking, for example – we will accelerate from 80 to 120 km/h in about three seconds. It also did not “throttle” the pleasant sound of the V6! The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid will meet all the expectations of lovers of “traditional” motoring, and at the same time will please with the benefits of a hybrid drive.
