Porsche Cayenne S Coupe

When Porsche unveiled the first generation of the Cayenne in 2002, it caused quite a stir among many fans of the Stuttgart-based brand. However, this did not affect sales of the new model—the brand’s first-ever SUV. The manufacturer achieved significant sales success. Over time, “coupé” versions of SUVs began to appear on the market—such as the BMW X6, Mercedes GLE Coupé, and Audi Q8. Having learned from experience, Porsche followed the competition’s lead—and thus the Cayenne Coupé was born, combining elegance with a sporty character. The model we’re offering is a facelifted version of the third-generation Cayenne, in what you might call the standard color: black.

The Stuttgart-based manufacturer has once again impressed with its luxury cars, while at the same time surprising car fans. After the Cayman GTS (where the turbocharged 2.5-liter unit was replaced in the new model by a 4-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer), it was time for a similar move in the case of the Cayenne S, where in the pre-facelift version we had to deal with a V6 engine, and now we find a V8 unit producing 474 hp and 600 Nm! For a practical SUV, few people expected such a move from Porsche, but it was certainly a good move that fans of the brand appreciate. Thanks to the engine change, the sound of the exhaust has definitely improved, which in the right mode sounds really racy(our unit is equipped with a sports exhaust system). In addition, thanks to the unit used, the German manufacturer stands out from the majority of competing designs, in which the capacity of the engines offered is regularly reduced (it is also worth mentioning here the BMW X5, which, in its latest release, decided to leave only a minimum of six-cylinder engines in the range).

Of course, the facelift is not just a change in the power unit. Porsche has refreshed the design visually and improved suspension components. The changes at the front are minor, there are more sharp edges and the front is simply “simpler.” At the rear, it’s easier to see the differences – the biggest is formed by a three-dimensional light strip, which looks very modern. The appearance of the bumper has also changed, you’ll recognize it, among other things, by the fact that the space for the license plate was previously on the tailgate, but is now under it. Inside, too, there has been more evolution than revolution, although it is definitely more modern, including on the center console. There’s a new 12.6′ curved instrument screen behind the steering wheel, taken from the Taycan, and a 12.3 head-up display for the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system with preparation for cell phone integration. The biggest novelty, is the optional 10.9′ passenger screen (which our unit is equipped with). The functions it supports include operating the navigation system, but it is primarily used for entertainment purposes, such as watching movies. Very importantly, the screen was designed to avoid distracting the driver – from the driving perspective, the image on the screen is invisible. Of the additional changes, the steering wheel from the 911 model has appeared. The good news is that Porsche has left the most important functions, such as climate control, in the form of classic dials and buttons!

The facelifted Cayenne is also better equipped as standard. For starters, we now get, among other things: LED Matrix headlights (in our configuration they were upgraded to LED Matrix HD), adaptive suspension or a larger wheel size. However, our copy is equipped with many additional options, making the car even more fun to use. More luxury is provided by optional leather interior trim, ambiente interior lighting, seat ventilation with massage function and Bose Surround Sound System sound system. Additional driving experience will be added by the previously mentioned sport exhaust system, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC) and Sport Chrono Package. Daily use of the car will be made more enjoyable by a torsion rear axle to help with maneuvering (and improve handling in corners), a 360 camera system (3D surround view) with active parking assist, a heated steering wheel, “soft” door closing and night driving assist.

The vehicle has a unique safety system – rollover detection. It allows air curtains and seat belt pretensioners to be activated in advance in the event of a rollover. Another safety system is a door with an integrated side impact protection system.

Porsche Cayenne long-term and daily rental

The Porsche Cayenne Coupe S is a complete proposition for any trip or occasion. It will also provide a huge dose of cornering pleasure – thanks to modern technology and appropriate optional extras, it drives more like a sports sedan than a typical SUV. Passengers won’t complain either because Porsche’s top SUV offers plenty of interior space and very comfortable travel conditions. The German manufacturer has improved the design in every respect – upgrading it to current standards, but at the same time changing the power unit in the S version, making this edition of the Porsche Cayenne even more desirable to car fans.
