Porsche Cayenne S Coupe
Porsche unveiled the first generation of the Cayenne model in 2002. has outraged many fans of the Stuttgart-based brand. However, this did not affect sales of the new model and the brand’s first-ever SUV. The manufacturer has enjoyed considerable sales success. As time passed, SUVs in “coupé” versions began to appear on the market – such as the BMW X6, Mercedes GLE Coupé or Audi Q8. Porsche learned from experience and followed the example of its competitors – thus the Cayenne coupé version was created. The unit we are offering is a polifting version, the third generation of the Cayenne model.
The manufacturer from Stuttgart has once again delighted and at the same time surprised automotive fans. After Cayman GTS (where a turbocharged 2.5-liter unit was replaced in the new model by a naturally aspirated 4-liter six-cylinder boxer), it was time for a similar treatment in the case of the Cayenne S, where in the pre-facelift version we had to deal with a V6 engine, and now we find a V8 unit producing 474 hp and 600 Nm! For a practical SUV, few people expected such a move from Porsche, but it was certainly a good move that fans of the brand appreciate.
Thanks to the engine change, the sound of the exhaust has definitely improved, which in the right mode sounds really racy (our unit is equipped with a sports exhaust system). In addition, thanks to the unit used, the German manufacturer stands out from the majority of competing designs, in which the capacity of the engines offered is regularly reduced (it is also worth mentioning here the BMW X5, which, in its latest edition, decided to leave only a minimum of six-cylinder engines in the range). Of course, the facelift is not just a change in the power unit. Porsche has refreshed the design visually and improved suspension components. The changes at the front are minor, there are more sharp edges and the front is simply “straighter.”
At the rear, it’s easier to see the differences – the biggest is formed by a three-dimensional light strip, which looks very modern. The appearance of the bumper has also changed, we will recognize it, among other things. Among other things, we will recognize it by the fact that the space for the license plate was previously on the tailgate, but is now under it. Inside, too, there has been more evolution than revolution, although it is definitely more modern. There’s a new 12.6′ curved instrument screen behind the steering wheel, taken from the Taycan, and a 12.3” main display for the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. The biggest new feature, is the optional 10.9′ passenger screen (which our unit is equipped with). The functions it supports include. operation of the navigation system, but primarily it is used for entertainment purposes, such as watching movies.Very importantly, the screen was designed to avoid distracting the driver – from the driving perspective, the image on the screen is invisible.
Of the additional changes, there is a steering wheel from the model 911. The good news is that Porsche has left the most important functions, such as climate control, in the form of classic dials and buttons! The facelifted Cayenne is also better equipped as standard. For starters, we now get, among other things: LED Matrix headlights (in our configuration they were upgraded to LED Matrix HD), adaptive suspension or a larger wheel size. However, our copy is equipped with many additional options, making the car even more fun to use. More luxury is provided by Optional leather interior trim, ambiente lighting, seat ventilation with massage function and Bose Surround Sound System sound system.
Additional driving thrills come from the previously mentioned sports exhaust system, Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control Sport (PDCC), and the Sport Chrono Package. Daily use of the car is enhanced by the rear-axle steering, which aids in maneuvering and improves cornering, a 360-degree camera system with active parking assist, a heated steering wheel, ‘soft close’ doors, and a night vision assistant. The Porsche Cayenne Coupe S is a comprehensive option for any trip or occasion.
It also provides a tremendous driving pleasure in corners—thanks to modern technology and the right additional options, it handles more like a sports sedan than a typical SUV. Passengers will also be satisfied, as Porsche’s top SUV offers ample space inside and very comfortable traveling conditions. The German manufacturer has refined the design in every respect—modernizing it to current standards and, by upgrading the engine in the S version, making it even more desirable to automotive enthusiast
