Volkswagen Touareg Black Edition Rental
The Volkswagen Touareg is the German automaker’s alternative to models such as the Audi Q8 or the Porsche Cayenne. In the Black Edition version, the Touareg is certainly on par with its premium competitors in terms of features. As the name suggests, our test vehicle features numerous black accents, such as 21-inch black wheels, a diffuser, mirror housings, door trim, the front grille, and headlight bezels.
Technical parameters
The VW Touareg is one of Volkswagen’s most interesting models, developed in collaboration with Porsche and strongly reminiscent of the Porsche Cayenne. The car is equipped with a 3.0I V6 TDI engine with a displacement of 2967 cm³, which delivers 286 KM at 2250–3250 rpm. Other key technical specifications: automatic transmission, 4×4 drive, SUV body style, 5 doors, 5 seats.
In the proposal from Wolsburg we will get an identical engine unit as in the twinned Q8, which is a three-liter V6 diesel unit. It perfectly matches the characteristics of the car and provides more than enough performance and at the same time adequate economy. Most impressive, however, is the equipment. On board you’ll find such amenities as four-zone automatic air conditioning, seat memory, seat heating (driver, passenger and rear seats) , ambiente lighting with a choice of colors, and seats with ventilation and massage functions, among others. To operate the entire car, there is a substantial 15′ display with Discover Premium satellite navigation system. The entire interior will be illuminated by the presence of a panoramic roof, and a top Dynaudio sound system will also take care of the mood.
Volkswagen Touareg Car Rental – Comfort on Longer Trips
Adaptive and air suspension, in turn, will take care of adequate travel comfort. Urban maneuvering and cornering will be made easier by a rear torsion axle combined with 360-degree cameras. Security will be provided by assistants in abundance. On board are adaptive cruise control, intersection assist, lane change assist, parking exit assist, lane keep assist, traffic jam assist – there’s really quite a lot. An interesting feature is the parking assistant with rim warning function.
The Touareg is a very versatile proposition and, in the case of our copy, equipped with all possible extras. In this configuration, it is safe to say that the Volkswagen Touareg is a premium car. It is also perfectly soundproofed, practical and will perform phenomenally on longer trips.
