Toyota GR Supra 3.0 – a legend with six cylinders

Toyota has resurrected the Supra with fans of the iconic fourth generation in mind, this time powering it with a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six with 340 hp and 500 Nm. In duo with an 8-speed automatic with paddles, the car offers an incredible acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in around 4.3 seconds, providing energetic but fully predictable gas response. That’s thanks in part to the AVS adaptive suspension, which adjusts shock absorber characteristics in real time to road conditions, and the active rear differential, which takes care of stability in faster curves and during sudden maneuvers.

To safely realize the engine’s potential, the Supra benefits from a Brembo braking system with four-piston red calipers and large ventilated discs, while Launch Control helps you get started without wheel slip when you need to merge smoothly into traffic. Traction is watched over by Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires on 19-inch Frozen Gunmetal wheels, and when the weather takes you by surprise, the driver is assisted by a suite of Toyota Safety Sense safety systems, from traction and stability control to the PCS pre-collision system with pedestrian detection.

Inside, the carbon-fiber trim and leather heated seats with 14-way electric adjustment and memory settings catch the eye. The driver stares at an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, while key data is simultaneously projected onto the windshield via the Head-Up Display, so your eyes are less likely to be taken off the road.

The 8.8″ center touchscreen works with Apple CarPlay wireless, and we put the phone on a Qi charger. In the city, parking is facilitated by a rearview camera with sensors and Parking Support Brake – the system can autonomously brake if it detects the threat of a minor bump while maneuvering.
