All this is combined with a very modern design and the fact that this is only the second M model without an equivalent in the “base” BMW range. This makes XM unique and incomparable.

What better way to celebrate such an occasion than to create the second-ever M model, which is also the flagship SUV in BMW’s hierarchy? The new BMW XM is available in plug-in hybrid and classic versions in a variety of exterior color options, including BMW XM Label Red and Night Gold. The BMW XM certainly stands out stylistically compared to the other models. At the front, we find an illuminated “Iconic Glow” radiator grille with the BMW XM logo and accents in Night Gold. At the rear, we find references to the BMW M1 in the form of laser-engraved BMW logos on both sides of the rear window. Attention is also drawn to the vertically stacked twin hexagonal M exhaust pipe tips and the gold diffuser insert. The new BMW XM is a four-wheel-drive SUV. The M sport differential ensures optimum transmission to the road, while rear axle pressure improves traction and stability in a variety of driving situations. The adaptive M chassis installed on the XM provides a sporty jam without compromising travel comfort, while the integrated active steering system guarantees stability at higher speeds.

Fortunately, BMW M Professional‘s adaptive suspension helps overcome bumps, providing adequate ride comfort without sacrificing sporty handling characteristics. This is an essential element in a car weighing 2710kg. Yes – it weighs more than our Mercedes-AMG G63! However, the XM, despite its weight, has no problems with dynamics. It owes this to the M Hybrid powertrain, which is a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 unit (also known from models such as the BMW M5 Competition and BMW M8 Competition) combined with a 197 hp electric motor. The combined torque of the unit jointly generated by the combustion engine and the electric motor is as much as 800 Nm! The powertrain has been integrated with an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission.
